Deon Vanstaden was born in South Africa and at a very young age felt the calling to ministry. After completing seminary in 1986 with the Full Gospel Church of God, he worked for almost ten years in a secular job doing sales and construction. In 1996 he went back into full time ministry serving with his father-in-law who had been a pastor for more than 50 years. As they traveled and ministered together, Deon was involved with a ministry called “Word In Action” that reached thousands of men and woman with the good news of salvation. He ministered at both men's and women’s retreats and saw many people changed and saved. He was also involved with the training of small group leaders so that they could do the follow-up of the new converts and help them grow by encouraging them in their gifting.

Our Story

In 1999, they felt the call from God to move to the states and then became associate pastor of a church in Jacksonville, Florida. After two years, the senior pastor retired, and Deon took over the ministry as senior pastor for the next ten years. During that time, he started a School of Supernatural ministry, and they had 28 students in their first year. By the time he left, the school was in its second year with both first and second-year students. He also wrote manuals on Healing, The Kingdom, and The Gifts of the Spirit, and he co-authored a manual on the Apostolic. He has always had a passion for teaching the Word. Currently, he is helping to train missionaries and is starting a missionary training school with Kingdom Sending Center, a church in Chicago. He is also part of GNN, a ministry that plants tent churches in rural areas in Africa. They are also coaches with Adventures in Missions and The World Race for a team of young people that travel to eleven countries in eleven months, where they mentor, lead, motivate, and encourage these young people as they pursue their dreams in the Kingdom of God.

Deon and Rynette have been married for 35 years, and Rynette has been a great support in ministry. They have one daughter that is married to Josh Conte, and they live close to them in Atlanta.  Deon has the vision to travel the world and teach the word to people that are hungry for a fresh revelation of the Kingdom of God and who they are in Christ! 

Joshua is an addition to the family and a true son indeed.
